| Kansas City Chiefs.Yes, I am aware last season it took the Chiefs into overtime at home when they eked out a three-point victory over the Colts. But this season Kansas City opened up the campaign with a decisive 31-10 victory over the Denver Broncos at home. It looks like Patrick Mahomes is back at full strength. And the addition of Kenneth Walker, who exploded for 173 yards a week ago, just makes this offense unstoppable. Speaking of which, and their season opening 41-23 lost at home against the Baltimore Ravens, the Indianapolis Colts have now dropped eight straight games going back to last season. I am aware a season go the Chiefs were overvalued quite a bit by oddsmakers. But the Colts just can’t cover the spread and they are in for a very long day here. Daniel Jones is at the helm, so you can expect mistakes and turnovers. While Jonathan Taylor does allow some concern in their backfield for any defense, KC did hold the Denver ground game to just 61 total yards rushing. I feel the gameplan here is to give Indianapolis a heavy dose of RB Walker here, so the Chiefs can eat away the clock and move the chains, allowing Patrick Mahomes to open up the passing game. I don’t think Indianapolis has what it takes to slow them down. Take the Kansas City Chiefs. Thank you. | ||||||

| Seattle Seahawks.With their season opening 13-10 victory over the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks have now prevailed in 11 consecutive outings going back to last season. This is the team that does whatever it takes to get a win. They missed an ATS cover in their season opener by just a half-point. Prior to that, they covered five straight and seven of their previous nine games. Speaking of covering, the Arizona Cardinals are one of the worst teams against the spread in the NFL. Yes, they did get a surprise victory as nearly a double-digit underdog against the Los Angeles Chargers last week. But I think they come back down to Earth now. I think they’re in a big letdown situation here. Going back to their not being able to cover the spread, a season ago this team failed to cover their final five outings, and going back a bit further eight of the previous nine overall games. They might’ve held the Chargers in check last week. But I think we can all agree the Chargers didn’t look like the team we expected them to be. I doubt very much this Cardinals defense is going to be able to slow down. let alone stop the well-balanced Seahawks offense. I expect this game to get out of hand. Take Seattle Seahawks. | Philadelphia Eagles.Losing to the New York Jets in what they felt was going to be an easy win for the Tennessee Titans last week, is going to sting a while. I doubt very much this team is built to come back from such a devastating loss. Now they have to face a very well-balanced Philadelphia Eagles visitor here who looked pretty good in their season opening victory over the Washington Commanders, 24-22. I know the Eagles have never won in Nashville, but their defense will throw a lot of different schemes at QB Cam Ward, who I think we can all agree has fallen way short of expectations. Offensively, the Eagles will give the Titans a big dose of running back Saquon Barkley, which will allow Jalen Hurts to open up the passing game. Take Philadelphia. Thank you. | ||||||

| New England Patriots.The New England Patriots, despite a 13-10 season opening a loss on the road at the Seattle Seahawks are expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season. This is a team loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. That loss back on September 9 to the defending Super Bowl champions, will light a fire under this team and prompt them to come out here and make a statement. They had a few extra days to rest, and prepare than their opponent. The Pittsburgh Steelers opened up the campaign taking down the Atlanta Falcons at home, 20-13. But this team leaves a lot to be desired. I know Aaron Rodgers looked decent last week. However, he is still a 42-year-old quarterback, and going up against this fierce and ferocious defense, especially looking for redemption from their season opening defeat, is going to be fatal for the aging play-caller. On the flipside of the ball, Pittsburgh will be without cornerback, Joey Porter Jr, which will allow Drake Maye to air the ball out down field. Throw into the mix running back TreVeyon Henderson, who did not play in their first game, will be back in the mix. Take the New England Patriots. Thank you. | ||||||
