NFL THU NITE FOOTBALL PREZ NFL CHAIRMANS CLUB SIDE (451)MINNESOTA at (452)NEW ORLEANS 8:30 PM In a rematch of the NFC Championship game between the Vikings and Saints, one team has a huge advantage, that team being New Orleans. In what can be described as nothing but a classic in January, the Saints won in overtime, 31-28, en route to a first ever Super Bowl title. These teams were the top two teams in the NFL last year in points scored yet the last three games between these two offensive minded clubs have come UNDER the total. The pointspread is identica to the championship game but this time the Saints are healthier, more experienced and have the phscilogical edge, too. Is Brett Favre healthy and ready for four quarters of pressure from the Saints front seven? The answer is no. The defending Super Bowl champ has opened at home the follow-up season the last six years. In those games, that host is 6-0 SU & 4-1-1 ATS, with Pittsburgh field goal win over Tennessee the only point-spread blemish. The loss of WR Sidney Rice (hip) who resides on the PUP list for the first six games of the season is more significant than most understand. In the NFC championship, Minnesota outgained the Saints 475-257 and got three rushing touchdowns from Adrian Peterson, but the Vikings lost three fumbles and Favre threw two interceptions - including one to Porter in the final minute of regulation. Favre's timing in combination with the Super Bowl champs bringing everyone back from last year's championship club will prove to be too much for the Vikes. Minnesota is a poor 6-19 ATS in road games to teams that average more than 5.5 yards per play when oddsmakers open the total at 47.5 points or larger. Make that 6-20. 4* PLAY on New Orleans |

PREZ' NCAAF HIGHROLLER CLUB (301) AUBURN at (302) MISSISSIPPI ST 7:45 PM The SEC's offensive player of the week gets a Thursday Nite showcase event. Auburn quarterback Cameron Newton takes the 21st-ranked Tigers to Starkville to open their SEC slate seeking the fifth straight win over the Bulldogs. The Tigers have won eight of nine meetings with Mississippi State, including four straight on the road. Auburn hasn't been very effective on the road over the last two years, losing seven of eight but the team's new signal caller will be the difference maker this year. Newton arrived at Auburn this season after starting his career with Florida, then spending the 2009 season leading Blinn College to the junior college national championship. Auburn is 41-28-5 in SEC openers, but had its 14-game winning streak in openers snapped last season by Mississippi State. In its last 10 SEC openers, Auburn has outscored its opponents, 334-110. In 2006, Auburn blanked Mississippi State, 34-0, after beating the Bulldogs 28-0 and 43-14, in the two previous seasons. Auburn’s running game is unquestionably more dangerous now with Newton under center and will prove to be too much for the rotating duo of Tyler Russell and Chris Relf of the Bulldogs. Additionally, don't be deceived by what Mississippi State did through the air in last week's win. The duo is not near as capable as their impressive showing in their opener. Auburn has more weapons and more experience and the Bulldogs are a soft 12-32 ATS when they allow 9 or more net passing yards per attempt allowing nearly 40 points per game in this situation. Expect the Tigers to dominate offensively, especially through the air tonight, and win by double digits 4* PLAY on Auburn |
